This position will improve healthy and sustainable food access, including food waste reduction and diversion to nature-based solutions. The position also assists the Sustainability Manager in implementation of the Food related actions and strategies listed in the Kansas City’s Climate Protection and Resiliency Plan (CPRP) to prioritize climate equity and justice, community resilience, community empowerment, financing and innovation, to achieve greenhouse gas reduction goals community-wide and in city government operations and associated co-benefits through mitigation, adaptation, and sequestration.
